Could John Edwards break through?

Looking at a new Nevada poll, the former senator hit 27 percent. I am no fan of John Edwards but I dislike both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and I have a little hope that Edwards would be the nominee in the end.

Candidate Percent
Barack Obama 32
Hillary Clinton 30
John Edwards 27

  1. Why do you like Edwards more than the other two?

  2. I like Edwards, but I don’t think he can break through. Besides - he’s too cozy with the Bilderbergs. Anyone associated with cowardly John Kerry leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I may not be alone.

Good news. 2/3 of people say no thanks to Clinton.

  3. There are diff reasons why I like Edwards and Obama. I don’t like Edwards more than Obama. My fave pick would be Kucinich or Dodd, but oh well.

What I like about Edwards is I believe him - for now. I have a sense that he is genuine. But, there is a cloud looming over him. He would know what that is.

  4. It should come as no surprise that Edwards would fare slightly better in Nevada, a very strong union state. He has no chance of winning it all because even though he’s spot-on message wise, even we liberals know the corporate big shots won’t let him win.

  5. John Edwards “Changes” things more than anyone since Carter, LBJ, and FDR. One of the three contenders is bought off and the other one has not proved that he would be tough enough. I’ll vote for the change candidate who can win in the south and purple states. Idealism is great and important, but an Edwards victory will give that idealism more of a chance to suceed later down the road.

  6. Wouldn’t it be fun if neither Clinton nor Obama could pull enough votes and the Dem convention was brokered (with Edwards as kingmaker?? Ughh!)? I already addressed the possibilities of a brokered GOP convention, but there’s a slim possibility of both being brokered.

What a flaming circus! The Dem one would be ‘68 Chicago all over again and who knows what would happen at the GOP version.

  7. Edwards says he’s in all the way so who knows. Personally I don’t see him going far.
